Injection Molding Process Technician

Erie, PA Full-Time


The successful candidate will possess broad based troubleshooting skills on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. Experience working with a variety of plastic materials, multi-cavity tools, and hot runner molds preferred. Nissei and Arburg Molding Machine experience also preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but limited to:

Login and logout MIU during Set-ups and Start-ups.

Set molds into molding machines.

Bring out raw materials, verify accuracy to shop packet, verify containers (including color concentrate hopper) are properly labeled.

Start-up machines when needed.

Maintain efficiency of production runs, troubleshoot when needed.

Make entries on the process log when needed.

Monitor machine status, input downtime reasons as needed.

If molding machine alarms, remove parts, check for visual defects, dispose of as needed.

Initiate machine repair requests when needed.

Monitor status of Macquire color concentrate feeder and proportional loaders.

Requisition material when needed.
