Your role at Clorox: Fork Truck Operators possess a strong working knowledge of Distribution Operations and forklift driving ability. Fork truck operators show initiative by observing the needs and filling in to support strong results for the crew. Day to day general direction is provided by the Dock Coordinators and the Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will:
• Performs daily inspection of lift using correct documentation
• Properly completes documentation associated with unloading and loadings with minimal supervision (blind counts)
• Understands the warehouse layout and constraints
• Effectively plans and prioritizes work
• Ensures WPO/housekeeping standards are sustained
• Performs all necessary safety checks related to trailer unloading and dock loading systems.
• Supports pulling palletizer and maintains breaks/lunches with other fork truck operators on team.
• Ensures unsafe conditions are identified and reported (ability to write work orders)
• Ability to identify and provide information on safety issues
• Ability to identify and provide information on quality issues
• Always demonstrates prompt and courteous radio communications Primary
• Load trailers with finished goods by following finished load process
• Load palletizer with CHEP pallets
• Unload CHEP trailer
• Keep the palletizer line moving
• Keep empty dock doors closed Secondary
• Keep tie sheets on the line
• Keep labels on the line
• Keep corner post on the line
• Keep stretch wrap on the line
• Help put corner posts on unwrapped pallets What we look for:
• Knowledge of Distribution operations include inventory and warehouse management, dock and trailer yard coordination, and safety procedures to maintain GME standards
• Must demonstrate ability to effectively use Clorox systems to perform routine job tasks (Transplace, Vector, SAP transactions, Yardview, etc.)
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
• Be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Possess strong Computer Skills (including SAP)
• Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, with sense of urgency
• Be below the written reminder step in attendance and/or work performance
• Strong commitment to plant's non-negotiables and company's core values
• Ability to operate fax machines, copiers, as well as voice mail
• Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Workdays and schedule may change periodically for training purposes, and according to business needs. Must be able to work off shift and weekends
• Supports Distribution improvement projects
• Must have good understanding of GME processes
• Meets overall selection criteria in the areas of performance, leadership, attendance, job skills, and other criteria specifically established for this position.
• Must be forklift certified
• Must be a certified inventory counter
• Be able to perform open door yard checks, and update information appropriately
• Be able to travel around Atlanta Campus as needed SCHEDULE:
• The fork truck operator (palletizer) are scheduled 12 hours to coincide with the crews (ABCD); flexibility required for off-shifts and weekends. Schedule may change based on business needs.
