Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator

Full-time

Duties of the Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator :

  • Directs the orientation program for all new employees and schedules ongoing coordinated education in-services.
  • Evaluates resident care practices throughout the facility and identifies instructional needs.
  • Design educational programs commensurate with needs.
  • Documents all programming as required by state standards and maintains a reference library.
  • Provides specialized training needs in all departments on request of Department Heads.
  • Notifies Department Heads about scheduling of required staff education, immunizations, and additional department education.
  • Administers and records licensed staff competencies.

Qualifications for Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator.

  • Valid RN license
  • 2 years experience as a Nurse Educator/Staff Development Coordinator.
