About The RoleReporting to the Head of Product and Technical Architecture of this new “Stealth Startup”, our Product Lead will work extremely close with Live Shop senior leaders and external partners. You will be developing a multi-sided platform to change the way people shop today

  • bringing together sellers, consumers, and hosts. You will be responsible for the product roadmap of the platform and will help define the strategic vision for your team.As a founding team member, you will be directly involved in the tech and product build of a world class platform & app experience for live & “live-like” digital shopping pulling from detailed user testing / insights, human design principles, and technical architectural design elements and servers that enable a seamless, fast, and entertaining customer and shop owner experience.You will build close relationships with key Business stakeholders to ensure that the cross-functional team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy. You will manage dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across the different teams. You will be working closely within the team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments as necessary.


What you will doManagement & Vision:

Lead the tech team through agile ways of working through the build of our world-class livestream shopping platformSet ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to all teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader team strategy and requirementsLead the product’s business value and support messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessaryMaintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the teamFacilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as bi-weekly demosBe accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholdersProduct Backlog Management: Translate product roadmap into product backlog

  • Liaising with the whole product team to ensure that the strategic intent of any solution that is developed meets both the customer and business goalsManage, adjust for risk, and prioritize product backlog. Ensure that work items are sequenced according to business priority and, thus, drive iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories.Lead backlog grooming to deconstruct, refine and estimate stories, add acceptance criteria and enable long-range technical planning


Requirements

management: Incorporate data algorithms, research, and market analysis to inform overall product strategy, enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design ahead of alpha and beta launch (start date timing dependent)Work with subject matter experts to gather requirements, understand business rules and challenges or limitations and respond to business needs.



Story documentation and acceptance criteria:

Document key function requirements deconstructing the epic into actionable user stories. Ensure that stories focus on the value the user gains from the productDefine the test/feature acceptance criteria which will confirm that a user story works as requiredWhat You Bring'Bachelor’s degree in a suitable area such as Digital Media, Engineering, Marketing, etc., with a Master’s preferred5+ years of digital Product experience at a similar scale

  • or relevant work experienceMastery of Product ownership fundamentals (e.g., prioritization, story writing, backlog management, external dependencies)Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principlesExperience in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)Deep experience leading teams in an agile settingAptitude and self-motivation to take accountability for driving outcomesCuriosity to understand the interaction between technology and our consumers, and passion for solving this problem for our consumersExperience with software development and collaboration tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Confluence, Trello, Slack, etc.Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributorStrong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholdersStrong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progressInclusive approach to teamwork that values human connectionsPassion to challenge the status quo, find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas

Our compensation package is a competitive combination of base salary, short-term annual bonus, long-term cash-based incentives and a Founder’s Bonus for initial team members. Base salary for this role ranges from $140,000-$160,000 plus the strong annual and long-term variable incentives noted. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location as well as business and market conditions. This compensation package provides significant rewards to the candidate over-time based on company performance and personal success.
