Customer Service Representative

ESSI - Electronic Security Services, Inc. Upper Marlboro, MD Full-Time

Electronic Security Services, Inc. a electronic security system integrator located in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking to fill a Clerical Position - Customer Service Representative to provide clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.

The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively solving issues. You will be responsible for converting customers into passionate evangelists

  • Proficient with Windows 7/10 and experience with MS Office, various software andor database programs

  • Ability to pass background check

  • Handling inquiries and incoming work requests
  • Reviewing files and records to answer requests for information

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Answering and making phone calls
  • Taking and distributing messages
  • Handling inquiries and incoming work requests
  • Reviewing files and records to answer requests for information
  • Checking and distributing documents and correspondence
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • Compiling records of office activities
  • Photocopying, scanning and faxing
  • Sending emails
  • Typing documents and correspondence
  • Checking and entering data
  • Updating and maintaining databases
  • Coordinating work flow
  • Keeping office area neat and tidy.
  • Answer inbound calls for customer service
  • Work with customers andor supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to and from field technicians, supervisors and field inspectors using telephones or two-way radios
  • Determine level of urgency, escalate service calls as necessary
  • Prepare and update daily work orders in company database system
  • Follow up with customers as needed
  • Coordinate work order processing with Purchasing Departments and Accounting Departments as needed

When You Will Work:

  • Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Holidays with Paid Leave: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Proficient in use of email and internet
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Accurate keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
