MUST:
Experienced HR Assistant
4 to 8 years of experience in the Human Resources field
4+ years' experience as an HR Assistant / HR Generalist
3+ years recently working with Payroll
3+ years recently working with Benefits Administration
3+ years recently working with On-Boarding new hires (internal, remotely or in person)
Experience Maintaining accurate and up-to date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR records and files.
The Human Resources Assistant will support a variety of human resources functions with an emphasis in benefits and candidate experience.
The HR Assistant will also perform administrative tasks and services to support the efficiency of the Human Resources Department.
Experience working in a consulting agency preferred
General knowledge of Human Resources practices
Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and privacy rules
Bachelors is a plus

DUTIES:
Maintains accurate and up-to date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR records and files.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. Refers more complex questions to senior-level HR staff.
Collects and processes all new hire paperwork. Performs bi-weekly audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and files appropriately.
Updates corresponding spreadsheets (i.e., new hire spreadsheet, employee master spreadsheet, and COVID spreadsheet) accordingly
Provides administrative support to the HR Department
Assists with payroll functions to include personnel action changes, garnishments, answering employee payroll questions, payroll processing, and distributing checks.
Oversees new hire orientation. Ensures agenda is up-to date and collaborates with managers if changes are needed. Ensures new hires are set up in HR systems.
Assists with the planning of special events, such as benefit enrollment, organizational wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
May involved limited travel to kick off new program awards, once or twice per year.
Completes employment verifications as received
Processes terminations in HRIS system and ensures accuracy of HRIS system on a semi- monthly basis
Sends out new hire survey and exit interview survey and analyzes data. Sends to HR Manager monthly
Coordinates HR projects (monthly birthday/anniversary recognition, HR newsletter, etc.)
