QA/QC Manager

MAC Houston, TX Full-Time

We are looking for a QA/QC Manager to join our client’s pipeline fabrication team in Houston, TX. This position is intended to develop and maintain the Company Management System and coordinate the overall compliance with all requirements defined by Company. This personnel will direct, create and control policies and procedures to ensure that the daily operations and the products conform to the quality standards. This position with work internally with the COO, HSE Manager, QA/QC Office & Supervisor, all process owners, and externally with subcontractors, entities, & customers.

 

Responsibilities:


•         Draft quality assurance policies & procedures


•         Interpret & implement quality assurance standards & evaluate their adequacy


•         Devise sampling procedures & directions for recording & reporting quality data


•         Review the implementation & efficiency of quality & inspection systems


•         Plan & monitor testing & inspection of materials & products to ensure finished product quality


•         Document internal audits & other quality assurance activities


•         Investigate customer complaints & non-conformance issues


•         Collect & compile statistical quality data


•         Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the Company Management System


•         Develop, recommend, & monitor corrective & preventive actions


•         Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities


•         Identify training needs & organize training interventions to meet quality standards


•         Coordinate & support on-site audits conducted by third parties


•         Evaluate audit findings & implement appropriate corrective actions


•         Responsible for document management systems


•         Assure ongoing compliance with quality & industry regulatory requirements


•         Support contractors & different areas related to industrial quality issues assisting them in identifying & reducing risks whose consequences can be serious., both on existing processes & for new processes


•         Participate actively in the talks, trainings, & other activities that are done in the BMS


•         Comply with the standards of Health & Safety established by the company & those defined in the Federal Law & other legislation


•         Properly dispose of the waste generated during the development of activities in accordance with established procedures in the company


•         Make rational use of available resources for the development of activities, such as: Energy, water, materials, & other inputs

 

Qualifications:


•         HS Diploma


•         2 years’ Quality Management experience, required


•         ISO 9001 experience required


•         Experience in piping manufacturing &/or fabrication/welding required


•         Knowledge & understanding of ASME preferred


•         Proficiency in MS Office required
