Our Law firm has an immediate full-time opportunity for an engaging Receptionist.  The job demands a cooperative, agreeable and sympathetic listener who gets along with others and enjoys being helpful to them.  A customer service, the team-oriented focus is of utmost importance.  The job requires attention to details associated with answering the phone, transferring calls, and taking messages; handling them with better-than-average accuracy and with careful attention to the quality of the work. The pace of the job is generally steady, and at times can certainly be hectic with multiple calls coming in at once.  This job requires making some decisions, such as whether to take a message, pass a call along to a different department or employee, or determine whether or not to set someone up for a consultation.  When you have questions, you can discuss them in close conference with the team and supervisors.  When the job requires work to be completed under time pressures or in changing situations, management will provide close support and encouragement. Responsibilities: • Answer phones and welcome guests • Schedule appointments and manage calendars • Perform basic administrative tasks – draft documents, copy, scan, file • Communicate with potential and existing clients in person, by phone, and by email • Manage paper and electronic files • Back up team members when they need a hand or a day off • Maintain practice and client confidentiality Qualifications: • You must be available to work and be in the office Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • You must have strong administrative skills and be detail-oriented • You must be comfortable working with various computer programs, databases, and systems • You must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality • You don’t think making coffee or getting our guests a beverage is beneath you • You must be a positive, high-energy team player who is results-oriented – No Drama! • You must care about something and have goals in life.
