Sykesville Vet Clinic -

Open Clinic
• Carry key
• Turn signs (Open/close)
• Tum off alarm system (0419)
• Arrive promptly by 7:30 a.m.(or scheduled time)
• Check messages on voice mail
• Review day's 4ppointments & report to Dr. C

Admit Patients 
• Greet clients in friendly manner
• Complete appropriate consent forms with contact numbers
• Weigh pets
• Complete cag cards and hospital collars
• Enter surgery/hospital list on dry erase board for each day
• Walk patients back to kennel area
• Provide estimates if needed
• Provide certificates if needed
• Note all client comments in record

Computer Respoisibilities
• Accurate billing and invoicing
• Double check appropriate charges on bill (check billing sheet against record)
• Take and record payments accurately
• Daily back-up
• Enter patient histories
• Prepare and mail monthly statements (25th)
• Prepare and mail monthly reminders

Telephones
• Answer telephone, three lines + call waiting
• Place people on hold when necessary
• Take accurate messages with contact phone numbers
• Contact Dr. Colwell in case of emergency
• Answer questions for clients
• Return calls to answer clients' questions per Dr.
• Confirm next day appointments
• Attach lab work from fax machine to corresponding record
• Call clients with heartworm and feline leukemia (negative) lab results
• Double-check with Dr. C before scheduling housecalls
• Note all client comments in patient records

Clerical Duties
• Have outgoing mail to mailbox by 10:30 a.m.
• Print out due calls, call clients, note calls and responses in record
• Maintain office machines and supplies
• Make sure waiting room is clean and in order
• Make sure Dr.C receives phone messages and [D]ue call reports
• Receive packages and put in office
