Sr. Project Engineer

Richelieu Foods Wheeling, IL Full-Time
Responsibilities •Reporting to our Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will collaborate with operations and engineering management to define the scope of work, develop project costs, define and manage expectations and coordinate and manage deliverables throughout each project’s life cycle •Ownership of facility and capital projects from development through execution •Develops project scopes and detailed project plans •Manages schedules, costs and other key deliverables per the approved project plan•Identifies, assesses and communicates project risks •Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques •Resolves and/or escalates issues to management in a timely fashion •Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects •Manages the relationship between Richelieu Foods and all third parties/vendors •Coordinates project-initiated training Qualifications •Proven project management skills (developing project charters, defining and managing scope, building timelines, communicating plans and managing cost and risks) •Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with proven ability to develop relationships internally and externally •Organized and detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and work against deadlines •Experience working with and effectively leading cross-functional teams Education Or Experience • BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related degree • Three (3) years in engineering project management required • Experience working in a USDA regulated plant and three (3) years-experience working with “ready to eat” and frozen foods preferred You should be proficient in: Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment Lean Manufacturing Principles Six Sigma Experience Engineering Degree Machines & technologies you'll use: ERP Software
