The Controller position is accountable for the accounting and cash management operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. The controller is also responsible for the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Accountabilities
Preparation and oversight of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and financial reporting, including
internal financial reporting and public company reporting
Responsible for Cost and Inventory accounting and analysis, including standard cost setting, monitoring and updates, material and labor variance monitoring, analysis and reporting, partner with operations to maintain accurate bills of material
Responsible for revenue recognition policies and compliance, project accounting, and fixed asset accounting system and maintenance
Compile full financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow and footnotes in accordance with GAAP
Determine best staffing structure for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash management and cost accounting activities including supervision, goal setting, performance management, and employee development of staff members
Manage Annual Audit and Tax compliance and preparation support
Manage Bank and Insurance Audits and prepare required bank reports, covenant monitoring, and line of credit management.
Set and track financial KPI's
Partner with CFO and operations management on annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Prepare account reconciliations, audit schedules, and analyses
Process financial transactions including journal entries
Analyze revenue, cost, and margin trends including price and volume variances
Anticipate and respond to adhoc requests and inquiries,
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications of Controller
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with emphasis on Cost Accounting within a multi-product manufacturing environment; Minimum revenue size of $20 million.
Work experience as a controller or similar role
In depth and hands on experience with integrated ERP systems, IQMS experience preferred.
Hands on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions including journal entries and account reconciliations and analysis
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within tight deadlines
Experience with cash management and risk assessment
MBA and/or CPA preferred
Adaptive or other financial planning software experience preferred
Knowledge of Public Company filing, and reporting requirements preferred
