Bishop and Co. is seeking qualified candidates for a Social Media Coordinator opportunity for an organization in Honolulu, HI


Social Media Coordinator #15916


Duties:

  • Assist with the company goal for increasing brand visibility, engaging content, and growth of the marketing campaigns via all social media platforms.
  • Oversee the consistency of the company’s message and voice on all social media accounts.
  • Manage the planning and development of content and the monitoring and reporting of social media campaigns.  
  • Generate, write, design, and update social media posts, with the aim for viral potential.
  • Maintain calendar of contents for the postings.
  • Handle community engagement in all social media accounts by responding to comments and concerns.
  • Train coworkers in the use of social media to boost campaign effectiveness.
  • Initiate social discussions within the department/company regarding the company, competition, and industry.
  • Report on social media presence and feedback.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism, or in a related field.
  • 1-3 years prior social media experience at either a brand or agency.
  • Strong understanding of public relations, marketing, and/or fundraising.
  • Working knowledge of social media strategy, and key platforms and technology (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and client relations skills.
  • Ability to recognize stories and trends within the company to post on social media to educate, inform, and engage target audiences.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Must be available to be contacted via cell during off hours, due to unpredictable updates with social media-related functions.

  • Job Type: Temporary (3 months)


  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
