Human Resources Manager-Lynch Metals, Union NJ



We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager with 3-5 years of proven HR generalist experience.  This critical business partner has experience in recruiting, daily HR transactional generalist work, training and development, employment relations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.  The role is locate at our facility in Union NJ, and may require some regional and national travel up to 30%.  This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies and all company policies.    We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual that can work independently and has demonstrated success collaborating and partnering with a range of stakeholders and business partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes and implements the administration of company-wide human resources policies and practices in accordance with stated company objectives and Federal, State legal requirements.

  • Drive an inclusive environment where people bring their best performance to work.

  • Manages recruitment, recruiting systems, tools, technology for location and leads recruiting for the enterprise.

  • Directs retention strategies and succession planning process.

  • Manage, develop, coordinate and deliver training and development resources and programs.  Career development, employment policies, performance appraisal process, diversity & inclusion programs and benefit roll-outs for assigned facilities.

  • Review compensation plans for assigned facilities.

  • Consults, advises and assists key client/senior managers on human resources management issues.

  • Manages controversial and sensitive employment issues and information.

  • Manages employee relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs for assigned locations.

  •  Establishes and maintains department records and reports.  Participates in administrative meetings as required.

  • Travel as required. Up to 30% travel will be necessary.

Job Requirements

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree is required

  • Minimum of 3 -5 years of related experience as a Human Resource Manager  preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Flexibility and ability to travel up to 30% is required

  • Recruiting/staffing experience

  • Strong HR Generalist experience in human resources principles and practices.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Commitment to company values and operational excellence.

  • Proven business acumen skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and develop critical working relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency motivating employees

  • Creative, flexible and innovative team player
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential
  • Must reside in the Newark/Union NJ area.
