Job Description


Mechanical Engineer / Production Planner
Expected Salary + Incentives $60,000 - $100,000 DOE

A family-owned 40 year old company with 30 employees who is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer. This position plays a key role on our in our organization.  Some flexibility in schedule, depending on performance.

This position is responsible for Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and Forecasting 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use Solid Works to create new designs and create documentation
  • Research suppliers and provide specifications for components
  • Help answer technical questions from distributors and end users
  • Perform daily calculations to aid in production
  • Assist with daily production planning (involves Project Management type concepts)
  • Work with production personnel to achieve desired outcomes
  • Assist with inventory and forecasting
  • Assist in the purchasing process by providing specifications and communicating with vendors
  • Assist in Quality Control
  • Perform time studies
  • Assist in automation initiatives when required
  • Diagnose production equipment issues and direct others on how to fix
  • Oversee and direct Tarp System installations
  • Assist in the diagnostics and resolution of equipment failures
  • Oversee production personnel when necessary
  • Learn other areas of responsibility as preparation for greater duties
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements


Mechanical Engineer / Production Planner

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • MBA a plus
  • Must be a good communicator
  • Must be honest and trustworthy
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have a good work ethic
  • Must be proficient with Solid Works
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Must be willing to be accountable
