Job Description

Talis Group’s client is a well-established industry leader that is experiencing exponential growth through acquisition.  Company is hiring a Director of Manufacturing for their Louisville operation.  Position will direct and lead the operations of several business-units, implement lean processes and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.  Position will have P&L responsibility and report directly to the President.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing, but established company that offers excellent corporate culture and work-life balance.  Offering top salary and benefits for this position.

Highlighted Duties:
  • Design and implement long and short-range strategies, policies, programs and objectives to meet company goals.
  • Lead, develop and coach department managers, ensuring proper skill development, training and succession planning.
  • Oversee all production operations including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, safety, and engineering
  • Develop and drive implementation of lean manufacturing processes that minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production output.
  • Manage policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
  • Partner with supply chain ensuring alignment with manufacturing needs and company growth,
  • Develop financial and non-financial objectives for manufacturing including the annual budget, financial forecasts and operating plans.
  • Responsible for all capital expenditure projects for manufacturing to ensure completion on schedule and within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversees Quality Assurance and process improvement throughout the stages of production.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, other operations/business related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills require
  • 5+ years leading production in manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to develop and implement lean manufacturing processes
  • Capital project management experience with demonstrated history of delivering on projects timely and within budget.
  • Proven experience in building processes and strategy.
  • Good writing, mathematics, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent leadership, communications and team building skills
