Senior Product Development Specialist (Engineer)

Military Heavy Vehicle


The Automotive Design and Development Product Engineer is responsible for development of a system (or component) from Concept to Production…Ranging from Specifications, to concepts, coordination of work with designers, coordination with FEA and Fluid Dynamics specialists, coordination with Test and Validation, Coordination with launch personnel.

Our client is a manufacturer of heavy duty vehicles, military trucks and other special purpose automotive applications. The company provides a great environment for engineers (it’s an environment where practical technical innovation is highly valued), provides a nice place to learn and contribute. You would touch aspects of Chassis, Powertrain, Accessories, Drivetrain This is a hands-on  p development role – while you would lead projects, also you would actively participate design reviews, customer reviews, and other status reviews regarding product  development.


Job Requirements

Senior Product Development Specialist (Engineer)

Military Heavy Vehicle

  • BS in Engineering (BSME or BSEE). Masters Degree is a plus.
  • 5 or more years experience in Product Design or Product Development or Combination of Application Engineering….looking for expertise in Product Development in Leading Projects of complex automotive components either from Automotive OEM or Tier 1.
  • Ability and experience in providing automotive engineering interface to customers for the proper interface.
  • Competence in the use of database, and spreadsheets
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include ability to work effectively within an extended team. Effective at communicating and interacting with engineering staff in the United States who are responsible for development, concepts, prototypes and working production units.
  • Prior experience in the Automotive Industry or Heavy Truck Industry or Large Aerospace Systems will be a plus.
