JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary

 

RK&K has satisfied both public and private sector clients by providing planning, engineering, environmental, & construction services.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to perform a wide array of interesting transportation/highway engineering tasks; have a clear understanding of applicable AASHTO design criteria and requirements; and be fully capable of leading highway design and/or planning projects and coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, government agencies and staff. Must be able to work in a team environment leading the activities of a diverse project team at our Charleston, West Virginia office.

 

Essential Functions:

 

•            Lead transportation planning and/or design projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

•            Understanding of Highway Design Standards, MUTCD, AASHTO and other guidelines.

•            Expertise in Microstation/Geopak/InRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D & proficiency in MS Word/Excel.

•            Strong written and oral communication skills.

 

Required Education and Experience:

•            BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.

•            PE Registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.

•            5-15 years of experience in civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineering.

•            Valid driver’s license
