Job Description

FLSA: Nonexempt

Position Summary Under the general supervision of the IT Technical Support Supervisor, provides Helpdesk administration, deskside support, technical support and analysis for network infrastructure, communications systems and maintains personal computers.


a.  Configuration, installation and setup of user workstations, peripheral devices, including network equipment.

b.  Diagnose and resolve user workstation and peripheral device issues, including network hardware and software problems

c.  Participate in network expansion, oversee moves, additions, and changes.

d.  Maintain workstation, peripheral device, and network documentation and equipment inventory.

e.  Security administration, including but not limited to, Active Directory, Lotus, Imaging, Financial Systems, iOS, Veritas, TSM, AIX, and Symantec Anti Virus.

f.  Assist in the configuration and setup of communications systems hardware and software.

g.  Support voip phone system.

h.  Provide Helpdesk support for all internal and external clients. (including Agents)

i.  Assists in problem solving for Information Systems and all end users.

j.  Performs necessary clerical functions and maintain user documentation.


Job Requirements

a.  Experience in troubleshooting workstation hardware, software, and network equipment.

b.  Experience with installing and maintaining desktop software applications.

c.  2 year degree or equivalent work experience.

d.  Detailed knowledge of computer hardware and common software applications (MS Windows, AIX/Linux, MS Office products, Active Directory, Lotus Notes, Symantec Antivirus, etc.).

e.  Must possess excellent analytical/problem solving skills.

f.  Ability to work remotely through VPN, Remote Desktop Connection, or LogMeIn applications for external clients.

g.  Must work well with others.


Preferred Qualifications

Competent understanding and working knowledge in the following areas:

a.  Windows Server, (2016, 2012, 2008) support experience.

b.  Windows 7 and 10 support experience.

c.  AIX, Linux

d.  MS Office products, 2010 to current

e.  Lotus Notes, Security and Administration.

f.  Antivirus Software

g.  Encryption software

h.  Remote support – Logmein123

i.  Networking, TCP/IP

j.  Handheld Server/Devices (including Smart Phones/Tablets) and associated applications

k.  Phone System experience

l.  Must demonstrate patience and project a professional image.
