P&C/Relay Project Engineer
Who we are:
Allied Resources is an award-winning, highly specialized Engineering Recruitment and Consulting firm, headquartered in the Northeast but providing services nationwide.
Who we are supporting:
Our client is a reputable engineering consulting firm supporting high voltage substation and transmission line projects. This position will be the relay engineering point of contact for a major east coast utility.
In what capacity:
This is a long term contract role (24+ months) offering a comp plan including full benefits, vacation and per diem.
A day in the life:
- Point of contact for relay settings on assigned HV substation and transmission line projects.
- Support all project personnel from Management, Engineering, Design and Design
- Manage engineering scope by capturing engineering design changes and trends to accurately reflect cost and schedule.
- Review relay protection schemes and designs
- Provide Relay Settings (SEL)
- Use of software/analysis tools for modeling including CAPE and ASPEN
Job Requirements
The wish list:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of protection & controls experience
- Must be familiar with NERC CIP
- Experience with Relay Settings/Programming
- Experience with SEL Relays Preferred
- Use of modeling software including CAPE, SKM, or ASPEN
