P&C/Relay Project Engineer

Who we are supporting:

Our client is a reputable engineering consulting firm supporting high voltage substation and transmission line projects. This position will be the relay engineering point of contact for a major east coast utility.

In what capacity:

This is a long term contract role (24+ months) offering a comp plan including full benefits, vacation and per diem.

A day in the life:

• Point of contact for relay settings on assigned HV substation and transmission line projects.
• Support all project personnel from Management, Engineering, Design and Design
• Manage engineering scope by capturing engineering design changes and trends to accurately reflect cost and schedule.
• Review relay protection schemes and designs
• Provide Relay Settings (SEL)
• Use of software/analysis tools for modeling including CAPE and ASPEN

The wish list:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of protection & controls experience
• Must be familiar with NERC CIP
• Experience with Relay Settings/Programming
• Experience with SEL Relays Preferred
• Use of modeling software including CAPE, SKM, or ASPEN
