Job Description

Systems Technology Group (STG) has immediate opening for Infotainment Engineer for our direct automotive client in Warren, MI.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 AM – 5 PM)

Assignment Duration: 1+ year

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Embedded software development throughout the entire software lifecycle – planning, requirements, design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and release into mass production
  • Automotive Infotainment requirements analysis to create embedded software designs
  • Design and develop embedded software for GM Infotainment module in an Agile environment
  • Develop software code packages in Java, C, and/or C++ in real time operating system environments (Android, AUTOSAR)
  • Develop and execute test cases for unit, integration, and functional software testing
  • Implement and test software designs on a PC environment as well as on embedded target hardware
  • Analysis, resolution, and tracking of defects to closure
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to define and manage the testing of automotive electronics products

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years related work experience
  • Familiar with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools
  • Working knowledge of configuration management / revision control tools, issue-tracking tools, compilers, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, hardware / software analysis tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, CANalyzer, CANOE etc.), code static analysis tools, real-time operating systems
  • Desired knowledge and experience in automotive network architectures (GMLAN, LIN, EAVB, etc.)
  • Desired knowledge and experience in AUTOSAR architecture, implementation, and associated toolchains
  • Solid fundamental computer science skills and strong programming skills
  • Experience with IBM Jazz / RTC environment
  • Working knowledge of the software engineering life cycle and Agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of software project planning and test plan development and execution
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience optimizing performance and memory usage on embedded systems
  • Experienced team player with demonstrated ability working on large project teams 
  • Must have a positive attitude, good oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability working in a large project team environment

Required Education/Training:

Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees: BSE, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering
