The Corporate Strategy Analyst, Federal Opportunities is responsible for conducting and analyzing federal business opportunity research. They will work with different corporate departments, including proposals, business units, and C level executive teams, to perform research and come to conclusions and decision points based on research points. This person will become familiar with tools such as GovWin, FBO, ebuy, and more. Principle duties may include, but will not be limited to: identifying federal requirements using in-depth primary source research; updating and tracking progress on previously identified federal business opportunities; synthesizing research findings in both written and oral formats; analyzing overall market trends, and the presentation of results concluded from performed research.

  • Stay abreast of public sector procurement developments to enable and facilitate quality data collection and representation
  • Stay abreast of federal legislation that may drive market trends
  • Through in-depth department/agency understanding, assess and report on future public-sector requirements
  • Identify existing federal requirements through in-depth primary (in-person or telephonic) research
  • Conduct research, analysis, and delivery of high-quality and timely responses for customer inquiries regarding public-sector opportunities and initiatives
  • Conduct and analyze overall market trends and provide written and oral briefings to internal staff, external clients, and trade publication representatives
  • Update and track progress on previously identified federal business opportunities
  • Synthesize research findings and analysis in structured on-line written and oral formats
  • Represent TISTA at public-sector industry events
  • Participate in formal quality assurance reviews to ensure maintained delivery of data quality

Job Requirements

  • 2 + years’ experience with research, project management, sales, risk management and/or process improvement for federal clients
  • Working knowledge of federal research tools, including GovWin, FBO, FPDS, etc.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze and innovatively solve problems
  • Ability to manage and write processes and procedures surrounding best practices
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively and in an articulate and diplomatic manner across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to identify data patterns that do not adhere to Policy or Procedure standards or requirements
  • Ability to follow and communicate verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Professional in oral and written communication and behavior
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work and communicate in a team environment
  • Possession of excellent documentation skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, customer communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with scheduling control standards and guidelines
  • Tenacious follow-up abilities
