The Rogosin Institute is a non-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Health Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and cancer and conducts research in these areas.
The Rogosin Institute is seeking to fill Hemodialysis Technician positions. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Hemodialysis Technician will be responsible for providing designated care to outpatient dialysis patients; responsible for initiation, monitoring and termination of hemodialysis treatment. Job duties include setting-up and monitoring of dialysis machines and water systems, priming the dialyzers, access cannulation, preparation of dialysate delivery system, alarm checks, dialyzer connection, monitor settings and disinfection of equipment according to RI standards. Full-time day and evening shifts available. Day shift starts at 4:00am to 2:00pm and evening shift is from 1:30pm-11: 30pm. This is a 4-day per week schedule with alternating Saturdays.
- High school diploma or GED; Hemodialysis Technician Certification by NNCC, BONENT, NNCO
- At least 2 year relevant experience
- Work professionally and effectively with patients, visitors and staff
- Ability to deal with several tasks at the same time.
