Vice President of IT Services

Local non-profit client seeks an experience IT Director or Senior Manager who is looking for

move into a VP of IT position.  Client is seeking someone who has experience managing both IT Operations and IT Applications.  They need someone who knows how to get in the trenches to get things done.  Also someone who can supervise managers of IT Operations, IT development and IT Web development.  Will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the client.  Will work closely with Executive Management to support and grow the client through leveraging technological resources.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§  Develop strategy for using technological resources in alignment with the client's business goals

§  Analyze industry trends for practical use at the client

§  Define standards for systems, equipment, and software

§  Define software development process and set objectives for process

§  Ensure technology and development standards and best practices are met, and that technological processes and services comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations

§  Ensure that technologies are used efficiently, effectively and securely

§  Monitor web analytics and make recommendations that align with the business goals of the client

§  Establish and implement annual technology goals within budget

§  Plan for architecture, development, and deployment of all of computerized business solutions  -- technical, web, mobile services and technology services.

§  Collaborate with Executive team, program managers, and operations as advisor on all technologies

§  Collaborate with the Security Officer on information risk management and security

§  Lead internal task forces dedicated to development and implementation of new or enhanced processes involving collaboration by multiple service areas for services to be offered.

§  Supervise managers of IT Operations, IT Development, and Web Development

§  Conduct IT vendor negotiations and vendor management for the client

§  Participate in senior-level managerial activities of the Executive Committee

§  Assist management as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:


**10 + years experience in Information Technology

**5+ years of Management and strategic experience in IT development, IT operations and related environments

**BA/BS degree

**Excellent knowledge of IT application systems and infrastructure/operations is a must

**Strong knowledge of web applications and technology is a must

**Strong background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation

**Experience in change management

**Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations

**Ability to analyze and monitor complex operations and development activities

**Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently

**Excellent leadership, team building, management and mentoring skills.

**Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Prefer non-profit experience
