Job Description

 

This is the starting place for an operations career in the staffing industry. Onin Staffing is a company, if given the opportunity, will  promote from this level those individuals that display dedicated work ethic and knowledge.   Level-one training must be completed within 30 days of hire. 

 


Your specific duties in this Staffing Assistant role will include:

 

  

  • Answering phones

  • Recruiting quality candidates via phone, email, social media, in person, etc.

  • Light Interviewing of candidates

  • Performing data entry

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Interacting with clients

  • Keeping office clean and following safe housekeeping practices especially in and around your desk

  • Checking email consistently throughout the day for new job orders and instructions

  • Administering drug screens

  • Visiting clients as needed per manager’s requests

  • Attending job fairs as needed

 

 

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Staffing Assistant who is passionate and motivated to work hard and exceed expectations. You should be a quick learner who is able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, both independently and as part of a team. It is also important that you display exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Specific qualifications for the Staffing Assistant role include:

  •  Previous Staffing or Human Resource experience a plus
  • Enjoy lots of interaction with people

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Enjoys meeting daily challenges and opportunity to see tangible results

  • Excellent phone skills

  • Business professional attitude

  • Data entry skills

  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook

  • Availability to work 8am-5pm plus overtime when needed and some on call nights and weekends

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
