Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Engineer inside Sales Lead Generator (EISLG) for Watts Water Quality (WWQ) will be responsible for working with the Sales teams and with other stakeholders to generate sales leads in specific vertical markets. Identify and prioritize specific targets, develop cold call presentation materials, initiate initial contact and set appointments for lead follow up.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

  • Create a prioritized list of targets, with profiles and key decision makers

  • Target, harsh water areas, with large saturation of businesses or high construction areas

  • Profile, hospitality, healthcare, institutional commercial opportunities

  • Create mailing list and introduction mailing materials

  • Work with Marketing and Communications groups to develop cold call presentation materials

  • Help to manage opportunity forecasting

  • Maintain accurate record for reporting status of lead follow up, stating reasons for win/loss

  • Provide ideation for process and presentation improvement

  • Work closely with Sales  group to grow market and margins expansion based on the business strategy

  • Support the development of the Watts Water Quality platform strategy with regards to commercial growth initiative

  • Maintain up-to-date information on the opportunity funnel, and work with Sales  and Management groups to focus on key opportunities for the business

  • Integrate activities and functions in support of the business follow up on leads generated

  • Self-directed in searching for lead generation opportunities

  • Take customer needs/requirements & develop proposed lead follow up

  • Coordinate internal reviews and drive lead management process

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to key leadership regarding lead generation.

  • Monitor deliverables' status and communicate the process status internally.

  • Ensure successful, timely completion of requirements through effective coordination of internal and external stakeholder activities.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree, from an accredited university or college

  • Technically oriented individual

  • Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into business solutions

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial program commitments and expectations with customers, internally and externally;

  • Credible self-starter and self-motivator

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;

  • Coordination and influencing skills

  • Strong team player, work ethic and committed to the job

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Good organizational skill

DESIRED:

  • Mechanical or Chemical engineering degree
  • Experience in the water or plumbing industry
  • Proven project management skills to influence people in a matrix organization and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deals at same time. 
  • Experience in the Water Quality industry and in sales
  • Experience in negotiation of sales opportunities and contract terms
  • 0-3 years experience in sales, commercial operations, pre sales, bid management, contract negotiation and/or execution, relative to Water purification or Water/plumbing industry. 
  • Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas at various levels of seniority across organizations to achieve goals & objectives
  • Demonstrated customer interface skills.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up a minimum of 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Work in office environment

  • May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
