Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer with 2 or more years of experience for our York, PA office. We are seeking candidates who are practical and proactive, can multi-task, meet aggressive deadlines, are willing to work extended hours when needed and enjoy a mix of field, lab and office work. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and experience in pavement design, deep and shallow foundation design, earth retention systems, slope stability analysis and site preparation.
As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer, you will also:
Travel to project sites and obtain samples using various methods and equipment
analyze and evaluate soil samples to determine composition
perform research and write reports and recommendations based on data collected
Collaborate with other engineers and construction staff

Successful candidates MUST have:
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a Geotechnical Concentration
- Coursework should include soils/materials laboratory and foundation design
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- CAD experience preferred
