Job Description

Duties are to mix various components of resins and additives to make suitable matrix for composite parts.  The resins used are epoxies and acrylics.  The fibers are glass, carbon, and polymers.  The resin curing process involves heat and UV cure mechanism.  The technician also is required to follow SOPs and document the work/test results.

Instruments involved (these are small, bench top instruments):

  • Winding machine to make composite parts
  • High shear planetary mixer to mix resins
  • Mechanical tester for compression, shear and adhesion
  • Viscometer to measure resin viscosity

Minimum high school or equivalent graduate with 2- 3 years’ work experience. Technical school graduate or Associates degree is preferred. 


This person will be doing development work with our Carbon fiber group

May train candidate with mathematical aptitude and manufacturing experience.

Job Requirements

All candidates must be US Citizen, or permanent resident status.
