Entry Level Staffing Assistant

(Recruiter / Human Resources / Administrative Assistant)

Shift:  First (Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm) Overtime as required

Pay Rate:  $10.00 - 13.00 / hr (Depending on experience)

Entry Level Staffing Assistant

(Recruiter / Human Resources / Administrative Assistant)

Shift:  First (Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm) Overtime as required

Pay Rate:  $10.00 - 13.00 / hr (Depending on experience)


A Staffing Assistant is capable of service fulfillment for clients and temporary associates at the local level.  This includes recruiting, interviewing proficiency, day to day customer service and issue resolution, ability to process payroll accurately, processing new-hires in a manner that is compliant with Onin’s policy and with the law and counsel temporary associates on job related matters.

The Responsibilities include:

  • Successfully perform all staffing assistant duties. 

  • Successful completion of Level 1 and Level 2 training.

  • Expert Knowledge of E-Verify and I-9 protocol. 

  • Solid understanding of employment law as it relates to interactions with our teammates, clients and coworkers.

  • Ability to leverage recruiting methods to proactively drive candidates to the office.

  • Proficient user of Career builder.  Must complete training with Career Builder trainer.

  • Demonstrated history of going above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers. 

  • Understanding of full onboarding process including Equifax, E-verify, I-9, background checks, drug testing protocols. 

  • Have a sufficient understanding of and compliance with worker compensation protocol. 

  • Trained on payroll.

We are looking for a Staffing Assistant who is passionate and motivated to work hard and exceed expectations – your own as well as ours. You should be a quick learner who is able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, both independently and as part of a team. It is also important that you display exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific qualifications for the Staffing Assistant role include:

  • 1-2 years staffing/recruiting experience, preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Business professional attitude
  • Data entry skills
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Availability to work 8am-5pm plus overtime when needed and some on call nights and weekends
  • Proactive thinker and Clear Communication with coworkers and leadership

  • Ability to work well alone and with a team with little to no supervision

  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond to deadlines in a timely and professional manner accurately

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
