Job Description


The O365/SharePoint Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting intranet solutions on Office 365/SharePoint Online. This is an exciting opportunity to promote and expand a new technology platform for the company. This role will gain valuable experience by servicing all major business functions and subject matters across the business. 


  • Support, Design, develop and implement a variety of Office 365 / SharePoint Online centric solutions, including:
  • Web Content Management (e.g. Intranet, Internet, Extranet)
  • Collaboration (e.g. Team/Project/Community sites, MySite/OneDrive/OneNote/Yammer etc.)
  • Business process management (e.g. workflow, electronic forms)
  • Document Management (e.g. custom content types, policies, metadata)
  • Integrations to other systems and processes
  • Design and development of enterprise applications on the Microsoft platform.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and customization of SharePoint solutions. Create process documents, capture best practices, conduct detailed requirements analysis and document functional specifications.
  • Manages and responds to change requests tracking projects and tasks through the software development life cycle.
  • Provide training and end-user support for SharePoint and other ancillary processes
  • Work with IT leadership to ensure SharePoint governance and standards are followed. Evangelize and leverage SharePoint appropriately; minimize customizations and development.
  • Monitor and analyze SharePoint server and application performance using SharePoint Admin tools, PowerShell, and third-party tools.
  • Help others in the organization with SharePoint knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function. Extend the SharePoint support group by leverage power-user community and train-the-trainer strategies
  • Design and Implement hybrid cloud solutions using Azure within the SharePoint platform.
  • Recommend best-in-class solution architecture identifying functional as well non-functional parameters. Provide detailed architectural and design artifacts when appropriate.
  • Work in a dynamic environment; at times, as an individual contributor and others as a team or project lead
  • Design solutions based on requirements, promote code quality by leading design and code reviews as well as solving challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability
  • Manages and responds to change requests tracking projects and tasks through the software development life cycle.

Job Requirements


  • Four-year college required or applicable trade school or commensurate work experience, four-year college preferred.
  • 3 years (or equivalent) experience of SharePoint solutions along with analysis, design, development, implementation and support of Office 365/SharePoint Online.
  • Solid understanding and proven ability with SharePoint 2013/Office 365/SharePoint Online development tools.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint taxonomy, metadata management, and information architecture concepts.
  • Experience in architecting enterprise SharePoint solutions using Web parts, Workflows, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint features.
  • Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components.
  • Ability to architect Restful Web APIs with strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of PowerShell, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Web Services, LDAP and MS Active Directory.
  • Professional, consultative and collaborative mindset with commitment for excellent customer service.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to come up with creative solutions for ambiguous problems and learn quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud offerings such as Azure, PowerApps, Flow, is preferred but not required
  • Experience with integrating SharePoint Online systems. 
  • Microsoft certifications, is preferred but not required

  • Experience with integrating SharePoint Online with other cloud or on-premise systems.
