Our Client is a $4bil global leader in the food industry, generating $1.5bil in North America and earning the #1 or #2 market positions in their primary food industry segments. On their behalf, we seek a Corporate Production Planner for their North American operations. This key contributor will mentor junior planners and interact effectively up, down and across the full scope of the corporate organization. A strong strategic thinker with tactical implementation skills is essential - functioning effectively at the 30,000 ft or the 500-ft level. With a seasoned operations mind, this individual must quickly grasp the nature of the business and bring a get-it-done, hit-the-ground-running enthusiasm.
She or he must relish an environment of general direction with minimal micro-management. This person must be comfortable in a high visibility role - and be groom-able for, and desirous of, personal and career growth.
Critical requirements for this Corporate Production Planner are:
-- Versatile across all functional areas of a manufacturing entity including operations, sales/marketing, and finance;
-- Thrives on gleaning meaningful data to drive production planning across multiple sites, optimizing the balance between customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities;
-- Enjoys the application of statistical modeling to strategic and tactical decision making;
-- Relishes a high-visibility role in a corporate setting;
-- Innovative in using and shaping SAP production planning tools and honing their effectiveness;
-- Enjoys interacting with multiple offices and factories across North America, with occasional travel.
A strong background in SAP is essential, and APICS certification desirable.
