Position Summary

In partnership with the branch manager, the customer service representative (CSR) is responsible for sales, service, and operations of the branch. The CSR assists with the management of the Branch Business Plan, including tracking and monitoring of branch operational and sales activities and results. The CSR assumes primary responsibility for the branch in the absence of the manager. The CSR is accountable for branch operations, facility management, security and loss prevention, and opens accounts and discusses alternative products and services based on needs-based selling skills.

  

Essential Functions

●  Process client transactions according to Bank policies and procedures.

●  Build client loyalty through courteous, professional service particularly when addressing client inquires and complaints.

●  Develop understanding of clients’ needs and opens new accounts.

●  Verify new account relationship (CIP) according to established guidelines.

●  Maintain expert knowledge of all retail bank products.

●  Share responsibility for a satisfactory audit rating.

●  Work with manager on execution of brand operations.

●  Provide support and back up to the head teller.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

●  Job requires a willingness to develop a working knowledge of the teller system and develop capability of researching cash discrepancies.

●  Expectation is the CSR will have a primary branch however, the position requires flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations/branch and to adapt to schedule changes during the workday.

 

Education and Experience

●  High school diploma or equivalent.

●  4 years of banking experience (or a combination of advanced degree and experience, two years of which have been as a platform banker).

Physical Requirements

●  Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 70% of daily work hours.

●  Ability to use hands to grasp, handle or feel.

●  Ability to use computer keyboard and system to enter data and process information.

●  Ability to read, talk clearly so that others understand, hear, comprehend the written and spoken word, and see.

●  Ability to use telephone to communicate with others.

●  Ability to use office equipment such as teller scanner, personal computer, telephone, mobile device, copier, etc.

Working Conditions

●  Moderate sound as in business office with office machines, computers, and people traffic.

●  Open floor work environment.
