Manufacturing Engineer 
Automotive Manufacturing



The Manufacturing Engineer  will work towards increasing assembly line efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes in Automotive Assembly plant environment.


  • Work will involve aspects of manufacturing engineering and Industrial Engineering.
  • Work with people, machines and materials to enhance the productivity.
  • Types of Equipment will include Automation - automated assembly lines, PLC's - programmable line controllers, assembly arms etc. 
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Work will involve equipment modification (and document production) for enhancing efficiency.
  • Suggest new methods to change layout of the manufacturing operation to increase production efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Must have experience as a  Manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing plant.
  2. Prior experience improving assembly line productivity in an automotive manufacturing environment (using lean or six sigma or other methodology),
  3. Prior experience studying man, machine, method – process to document the process and then improve the process.
  4. Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant or Parts Manufacturing plant is preferred. 
  5. Degree is not required but  a BSME or BSIE is Preferred
