Director of Human Resources

Crossroads Programs, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Willingboro, NJ that provides basic needs, education access, job and life skills training, and mental health therapy to youth in our family-like residential programs. Over the years, Crossroads' expertise and continuum of services for youth who are homeless, at-risk, or part of the child welfare system have expanded to include a comprehensive network of residential and community-based programs that have resulted in improved outcomes and enhanced futures for the thousands of kids and families Crossroads has served since its inception. The agency's mission has remained the same: empowering homeless, abandoned, abused, or at-risk youth to lead healthy, productive lives.

Position Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director, Human Resources will drive optimal organizational performance of Crossroads’ human capital function. The successful candidate must be able to articulate and foster the view of the Human Resources department as a consultant, partner, and advisor to senior managers in meeting their Human Resources needs, resolving problems and contributing to Agency-wide policy setting and initiatives. The Director, Human Resources will be influential in establishing Crossroads’ culture with scalable and sustainable programs, processes, tools, and systems.

Specifically, the successful candidate will lead all areas of human resources including, advising the senior leadership team, employee relations, performance management, strategic staffing, employment and labor compliance, and collaborating with senor team leaders regarding rewards & recognition, learning & development, compensation, organizational development.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, HR management or related field;
  • Non-Profit experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices of talent acquisition;
  • Extensive knowledge of HR practices and principles;
  • At least ten (5) years’ experience of progressively managing HR functions
