Human Resources Clerk

Client in the Visalia Area is looking for a Human Resource Clerk

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
  • Some prior experience handling HR related issues and compliance with multi-state and federal laws
  • Good technology skills including Microsoft Office programs, and general website navigation
  • Has the ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information
  • Has the ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Responsible for the recruiting and pre-employment processes including job postings, application screening, background checks, offer letters, pre-employment drug screens and staffing updates. 
  • Responsible for new hire orientations, onboarding and introductions for corporate employees. 
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and filing all employee records including new hire packets, personnel files, benefit packages, change forms and others. 
  • Data entry into the payroll system
  • Verification of correct timesheet information in preparation for payroll. 
  • Serve as back-up for data entry into the payroll system and payroll processing. 
  •  Assisting with the preparation and distribution of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for keeping the HR Manager informed of problems or concerns. 
  • Troubleshoot any potential problems in a method that is proactive instead of reactive.  
  • Must present themselves in a professional manner at all times. 
  • Consistently maintain and promote a “Safety First” attitude with all employees. 
  • Able to pass all company required physical and drug testing examinations. 
  • All other job duties and responsibilities as determined by management.
