SS/MLS is currently seeking a Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) within the BHRS program. BHRS is a community based mental health program which provides behavioral and emotional support to children and their families in their homes, schools and other community settings, primarily in Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
The BSC will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of treatment plans and other intervention plans and directing the quality of the treatment activities of the Mobile Therapists and Therapeutic Staff Support, all of which is individualized to each child or adolescent and to family needs in collaboration with other members of the treatment team.
This position is a part-time (minimum 10 hours per week) fee-for-service Independent Contractor position.
Master’s Degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatric Nursing or Marriage and Family Therapy. Degree must include clinical coursework in the foundations of behavioral health and the provision of mental health services (e.g., individual, group and family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, crisis counseling, abnormal psychology, psychopathology, assessment, child development, personality theory, psychotherapy lab, clinical practicum)
Two (2) years verified post-Master’s experience providing mental health treatment to children, and at least one (1) year experience using behavior analysis/modification techniques.
Minimum of 8 hours of prior training in behavior analysis/modification.
ABA certification preferred.
