Job Description

Systems Engineering, LMS and Training 

Responsibilities:
  • Develops computer systems and solutions, rather than software.
  • Understands all or most aspects of the hardware and software within the system.
  • Contributes to IT project delivery by providing general and broad technical expertise throughout all phases of the development life cycle, including technical assessments, troubleshooting, design and engineering activities in support of complex software and hardware systems comprised of many technical components.
  • Installs and configures application software, both off-the-shelf and developed in-house.
  • Coordinates the technical engineering disciplines to ensure a holistic design and all aspects of the potential solution are well integrated and functioning in harmony, for business domains and large IT programs.
  • Leads the design and engineering of web services, middleware and web hosting technologies and implementations.
  • Helps engineer, document and deploy a number of windows server utilities globally.
  • WSUS, RDP gateway, SMTP gateway, internet Proxy are key deliverables.
  • Serving as an electronic learning management system administrator in support of training change initiatives.
  • Including creation and management of documents in support the training initiatives, documents created/managed in standard applications; SharePoint, Excel, Word etc.
  • Processing of training documents within the site change management system.
  • Accountable to providing excellent customer service to the site for all training processes related to the PGS Learning System (PLS).
  • PLS data entry.
  • Processing change control of training documents using Quality Tracking System (QTS) and PLS.
  • Providing training reports as requested.
  • Preparing documents to support project milestones.
  • Printing and preparation of training materials.
  • Maintaining data integrity within the PLS system.
  • Maintaining change control of curricula documents in PLS using QTS in support of site training initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • BS or certificate equiv for windows engineering required.
  • Years of Experience 5-7.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows server 2008R2 and 2012.
  • Expertise with PowerShell scripts.
  • Expertise with RDP, WSUS, internet proxy on windows.
  • Solid understanding of electronic systems – interaction between users and other systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with electronic Learning Management Systems, and Change Management Systems is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with electronic document storage systems is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures preferred.
