This position will be managing the Data Protection project for client. This involves increasing the protection our client's sensitive date by deploying SQL TDE, Oracle ASO and multiple other technologies that will protect our client's data if we are ever breeched.
It would be helpful if the candidate has security experience, but not mandatory. Since this project is very critical to the company it is critical that this candidate is organized, able to meet aggressive deadlines and can present the status of the project to the "C" level. This person will have to work with multiple areas within IT, legal and the business, so it is imperative that they are a well-rounded PM.
Project Managers (PM) are accountable for project initiation and planning, and for overseeing development, testing, implementation, and closeout. This includes initial project planning efforts such as developing the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and IT sponsor approvals, and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project. The PM is expected to communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, and conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. PM professionals are also responsible for prioritizing procedures for changing scope and project acceptance procedures. Nearing project completion, the PM is expected to obtain feedback to assure that project efforts meet customer expectations for agreed upon schedule, cost and objectives. They provide the highest level of expertise in the application of project management tools and techniques.
