Financial Reporting Analyst

Our client, a leader in automotive manufacturing in the Lansing area is currently searching for a Financial Reporting Analyst.  This opportunity provides the opportunity for career growth along with the stability of a publicly traded company.  This role will work with and report to the Director of Financial Reporting and is responsible for external SEC reporting as well as internal reporting preparation and analysis.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings for SEC reporting

  • Corporate accounting, including month end close and account reconciliations

  • Maintain compliance and awareness of policies, procedures, and reporting requirements

  • Management of financial reporting systems as well as maintaining accounting schedules for external reporting

  • Reporting responsibilities to management as well as Board of Directors

  • Administration and accounting for employee stock based compensation and purchase plan

Qualification:

  • Previous experience with US GAAP

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA Preferred

  • 2-5 years in public accounting preferred

  • Previous experience with SEC reporting requirements a strong plus
