  • Collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, labor and overhead.
  • Analyze data and record results, changes in product design, raw materials, mfg methods/services to determine effects on cost.
  • Analyze actual costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures, analyze audits of costs and prepare reports.
  • Maintain Cost Accounting System, M2M.
  • Assist in Month End close of the GL.
  • Coordinates and conducts physical inventories, monitors cycle count program, investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues, reconciles finished goods inventories, make adjustments, work with department on obsolete inventory.
  • Review new parts/records being set up in ERP system for accuracy and cost
  • Update standard costs in the ERP system, review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Review Completed Jobs that are ready to be closed, check for any variances before closing Jobs.
  • Perform accounting duties.
  • Provide general clerical assistance for the Finance Dept.
  • Keep the manager informed about the status of work being performed and about problems or potential problems.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related field.
  • 2+ years cost accounting in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Financial, Project and problem solving background helpful.
  • Solid computer literacy to include accounting database software (ideal).
