Outpatient Therapist / School Based  – Psychotherapist (Nonprofit)



$1,500 Sign On Bonus

We are looking for Mental Health / School Based Therapists who combine empathy and compassion with strong time management skills and the ability to manage a case load in a fast-paced environment. It is also important that you display excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work well with diverse populations.

We offer a wide array of services geared toward mental health and co-occurring substance abuse (MH/SA) treatment. Choose to work at one of our onsite outpatient clinics; or to provide offsite home-based or school based therapy. Outpatient Therapist / School Based Therapist – Psychotherapist (Nonprofit)


Job Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to participate in multiple treatment programs as well as providing community and support services to our large and diverse client base. You will work in a treatment team environment with our Psychiatrists and Psychologists.


Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Providing individual, family and group therapy to clients and their families
  • Serving as a treatment coordinator and providing clients with case management services
  • Providing consultation and education to clients, caregivers, internal support staff and other community agencies, as needed
  • Opportunities Conducting mental health related educational programs in the agency and in the community
  • Participating in quality improvement activities and critical outcome indicators research
  • Maintaining client records and related documents in accordance with established state / regulatory and UBCSS standards and time frames
  • Submitting all required billing and statistical documentation in a timely manner
  • Consistently meeting case load requirements
  • Performing other duties as assigned



Job Requirements


Mental Health / School Based Therapist – Psychotherapist (Nonprofit)



$1,500 Sign On Bonus

Specific qualifications for the position include:

  • License either in the state of Maryland or be willing to transfer license to the state of Maryland 
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a mental health discipline
  • Prefer a Minimum 2 years experience providing psychotherapy / mental health services
  • Ability to develop treatment plans, maintain required documentation and effectively manage a varied caseload
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties and to work within a treatment team
  • Experience in mental health and co-occurring MH/SA disorders and treatment, a plus
  • Computer skills and knowledge of an electronic health record, a plus
