Successful candidates will be able to support Consumers in the implementation of their programs. This includes following behavioral plans through direct service, monitoring of performance, and policy protocols. They will exercise discretion as well as independent judgment and provide the necessary follow up and feedback to assist in achieving goals.
This is a part-time first shift position: Monday - Friday.
Range of Possible Duties:
Job duties may vary depending upon assignment. Staff may be reassigned as necessary.
Job responsibilities may include:
Supervision of Consumers at job sites and community activities
Lifting and/or restraining Consumers
Valid Drivers License
Two days a week minimum availability
Good independent assessment, observation, and organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills in a variety of settings and situations.
Ability to effectively present oneself, orally and in writing.
Ability to exercise discretion and work independently with general supervision.
Two to five years experience working with Consumers with developmental disabilities including experience with behaviorally challenged Consumers.
Equivalent life experience
Associates degree or Bachelors degree preferred with specialization in psychology, special education, counseling, youth work.
