Our client, a leading Tier II manufacturer for the automotive, medical, defense and aerospace industries with three operating facilities on the east coast is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our Lincoln, Rhode Island machining plant and our North Providence Rhode Island plating operation. These are technical sales positions reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Sales and require an in-depth knowledge of engineering. Take pride in representing in demand, safety critical parts, of which, several are used in every automobile in the United States.
This is a salaried position with additional performance-based bonus opportunity. Our client offers competitive compensation ($75-100k a year) and a full array of benefits.
In this position, you will be involved in all facets of the sales process including prospecting, relationship development, value determination through problem/need identification, quoting and account management. You must be able to discuss commercial and technical issues with design engineers, purchasing and executives and develop solutions. Your activities will be heavily weighted toward your knowledge of engineering coupled with your ability to develop a relationship with and service existing and new customers.
This is a highly visible position in which you will be actively involved in regular management meetings to discuss customer issues and periodic executive strategic planning sessions.

- Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical or other technical discipline).
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Project management skills; analytic and problem solving ability.
