With general supervision, the IT Asset Management Analyst II is responsible for managing the IT life-cycle process for all software and technology assets throughout the organization .This will include responsibility for assisting in designing, publishing, & enforcing the policies, processes, & procedures as it relates to IT Software Asset Management.

• Maintains & implements the strategy for software asset & license management in order to ensure compliance with the obligations of vendor licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, & IT Finance policies as they pertain to IT software assets.
• Supports the ITAM practice in helping to mitigate financial and/or legal risks associated to vendor compliance, identify potential cost savings opportunities relating to software & support, & help improve our negotiating position with vendors.
• Provides a support role in the audit readiness processes to ensure we are managing license compliance risks & reducing and/or avoiding software & support costs where possible.
• Acts as a conduit between ITAM & other departments to provide timely access to IT software deployment & license entitlement data.
• Ensure the Asset Management solution (& supporting tools) can accurately count the software license deployments specified in each vendor agreement & reconcile them to license entitlements (e.g., software contracts, purchase records, etc.).
• Assists with the operations of division policies, processes, & procedures for effective software lifecycle management (acquisition through retirement or re-use) leveraging the Asset Manager solution & help ensure company adoption.
• Assists with the processes to perform the reconciliation of installed software to license entitlements.
• Assists auditors to audit the activities of the department for compliance with procedures. Implements / enforces corrective actions as required.


Mandatory• Solid understanding of IT lifecycles not limited to hardware, including end user computing, server & network equipment, software related purchases, & IT service contracts.

• General understanding of SOX compliance.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Is self-motivated, goal oriented, and an innovative thinker.

• Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and help influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.

• Strong technical/system administrative skills, but must also understand vendor licensing terms and conditions.

• Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement external leading SAM practices.

• General knowledge of SAM tools, IT asset discovery technologies, and data analysis techniques (using Excel, Access, and Flexnet).

• Displays functional knowledge of SCCM, Citrix, and VMware virtualization. •

Ability to handle multiple tasks & work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on criticality & meet deadlines.


Bachelor’s degree in a related field & 2 years recent experience in an IT service delivery organization OR Associate’s Degree in a computer science-related field & 4 years recent experience in an IT service delivery organization OR 6 years of relevant IT experience.

• Preferred Certifications (one of these) Certified Software Asset Manager, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional, Certified IT Asset Manager

• ITIL Foundations certification preferred.

• VB and/or shell scripting are a plus
