Job Description

 

Argenio Brothers is a mid-sized heavy highway construction firm located in New Windsor, NY with a seventy-five year history of successful projects in Southern New York.  We currently have an opening for a contract Administrator, or an Assistant Contract Administrator.  Placement will be guided by the applicant’s skill set. Argenio Bros. will typically pursue projects within a two hour radius of our home office in New Windsor, NY.


Contract Administrator:

An individual in this position would typically be very organized and have an understanding of construction accounting. Following are some of the “drill down” job requirements:

 -DBE, WBE and DBE compliance tracking and reporting to various agencies

 -Crafting of invoices

 -Submittal solicitation and review and submission of the same to owners

 -Crafting of project schedules and other ancillary compliance requirements including insurance

 -Crafting and review of sub-contracts

 -Descoping of sub-contractors and summarizing data prior to sub-contract award

 -Individual project accounting of multiple projects

 -Periodically attend project meetings

Assistant Contract Administrator:

An individual in this position would be tasked with supporting existing contract administrators in the same areas listed above. In addition to that which is listed above an Assistant Contract Administrator would be required to perform site visits and may be assigned to a particular job site part time during construction.


Job Requirements


Necessary skills and traits for all candidates applying for a position at Argenio Bros:

Ability to prioritize along with good time management skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Good problem solving skills, ability to participate as part of a team, high level of initiative, motivation, and a proactive approach to all challenges. All applicants should have the ability to work unsupervised, the ability to work under pressure, possess a sense of ownership/accountability, to possess a flexible and adaptive attitude that will support the team’s needs, and most importantly to have the highest of ethical standards in both their personal and professional lives.

Education and Experience for all candidates:

P.E., B.S., or Associate degree in Civil/Construction, or equivalent field experience.

At an absolute minimum all candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is a plus.
