Job Description

Digital Program Manager

Description: The Digital Product Manager is responsible for managing and executing the technical strategy throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle, including but not limited to: defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing customer and business requirements, creating internal and external documentation, and the launch and training of internal teams. The Digital Product Manager acts as the subject matter expert for all areas of the digital product and provides business direction and guidance to engineering teams and vendors. Today the products are delivered in the formats of Learning Apps, Classroom Presentation Tools, Online Workbooks, E-Books, Companion Websites, and DVD media. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest supporting global products and working with international teams.



  • Use agile methodologies to champion the strategic planning and execution of digital product software releases
  • Understand the customer profile and competitive landscape and share knowledge to influence requirements prioritization and product decision making
  • Identify and organize design prototyping, UX research, and user testing to validate business case assumptions
  • Manage backlogs and provide quarterly updates to product roadmaps
  • Write and articulate use cases, user stories, feature specifications, and any additional documentation that defines the business needs for development
  • Create release notes, internal product announcements, and internal/external documentation
  • Monitor development costs against budget and provide monthly status updates
  • Synthesize business and analytics data to report on product usage and measure success against key performance indicators
  • Will work specifically on Digitizer and SSO registration software projects
  • Manage multiple software development streams of work and integrations simultaneously
  • Navigate development roadblocks with flexibility/adaptability and seek to resolve issues with urgency
  • Balance thinking and planning with action plans
  • Influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Evaluate customer needs against known business priorities
  • Facilitate requirements meetings in a way that achieves prioritization consensus between stakeholders
  • Align expectations with clear communication of the product strategy and timing of feature availability

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ digital product management
  • Previous Agile development experience as a product champion or business analyst
  • Proficiency presenting to large groups of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Prior success managing backlogs, defining roadmaps, and launching software releases
  • Education technology and/or digital publishing experience preferred
  • Experience using online digital tools
