Job Description


Supports and maintains production equipment and both manual and automated tests within the production value streams, this includes troubleshooting electronics hardware and software as well as some mechanical systems.  Also helps to drive lean initiatives including finding new and better solutions for manufacturing challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting all production testing equipment including both from a hardware perspective and a software perspective. This will include functional tests, in circuit tests, integration tests and other various automated and manual tests.
  • Assisting in maintaining all production equipment.  This will include SMT pick and place machines, wave soldering machines, label printers and other various equipment.
  • Maintaining all documentation related to production equipment and software.
  • Occasional interaction with suppliers.
  • Adherence to safe practices while working on powered equipment, such as Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
  • Assisting in improving the efficiency of the plant through lean initiatives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Education and/or Experience                                             

Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred), or two year technical degree in related field with additional related experience and/or training.

2-5 years of experience in related field required.


Ability to travel to our headquarters in Italy for initial training (up to 3 months) and as needed thereafter.

Job Requirements

Language Skills                                            

Ability to read and write electrical schematics.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine technical reports and correspondence.  Also needs effective verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills                                                  

Engineering level: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of algebra and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability                                                     

Engineering level: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills                                            

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong programing knowledge with the ability to learn new programming languages; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.  Must have strong knowledge of windows platform.

Other Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an average to high level of electrical and electronics knowledge and be relatively comfortable with mechanical systems.  Must also be able to work relatively independently from day to day.
