Office Clerk

A supply company in North St. Louis is seeking  an Office Clerk to join their team!  This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity, working the hours of 8: 00 am - 5: 00 pm, Monday-Friday. This position will start at $12 per hour during the temporary period, but has the potential to go up to $14 per hour upon permanent hire. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate seeking a casual office environment where they can utilize their data entry, multi-tasking, and customer service skills! Job Duties:

  • Coordinate and work with the front office and sales team regarding new orders 
  • Receive orders and enter into company database for processing
  • Communicate with the warehouse team so they're aware of order priority and updates
  • Manage shipments to meet project schedule and cost targets
  • Keep track of order status and and notify front office of any order delays or back orders
  • Communicate with freight companies and delivery companies regarding deliveries/order schedule
  • Maintain accurate database of shipments and tracking information 
  • Call carriers to obtain quotes on freight
  • Foster and facilitate a friendly, positive, and motivated team environment


Requirements:
  • 1-3 years prior experience in an office support role required
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment highly preferred
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system a plus
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, via phone and email
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed
  • Stable work history
