Job Description

The Operations Business Analyst provides a range of operational and financial analysis and support for market processes such as registration, compliance and performance reporting. Working together with the guidance of leadership within the Market Operations Department, the Operations Business Analyst performs necessary tasks to analyze and prepare customer accounts for market registration, organize and process customer data using automated tools, perform data and trend analysis on customer data, track and report customer/portfolio performance, prepare data submissions to the market, and reconcile performance w. The Operations Business Analyst may also be asked to obtain additional knowledge and have the flexibility to work across other regions as requested. This position may also require working outside of normal business hours during certain times of the year.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and analyze customer data from an operational and financial perspective through collaboration with other business groups as well as performing market tasks/processes in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Work with utilities to enroll customer accounts in various community solar projects
• Prepare existing and new customer accounts for monthly billing
• Validate monthly solar farm production data for projects
• Monitor customer monthly solar production and track production guarantees
• Analyzing customer and portfolio performance, preparing reports for review by management
• Work closely with management to establish priorities and successfully drive maximum value for the business
• Investigate customer data anomalies and provide comprehensive responses
• Work with Sales and Marketing team to ensure customers are rightly matched to community solar projects
• Provide customer documentation to Project Finance team on a regular basis
• Maintain data integrity and ensure NRG Community Solar policies and procedures are followed properly
• Ensure project deadlines are maintained
• Work with Retention & Escalation Tier 3 - Team Lead to research and respond to internal departments on customer escalations
• Identify and communicates improvement opportunities or trends impacting the customer experience to management
• Perform other functions as assigned


Job Requirements

• Ability to communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skill
• Organized, task-oriented, and strong attention to detail
• Competence with mathematics, technical concepts, and data and trend analysis

Minimum Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Must have strong Excel skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Must have experience working in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:
• Business or Economics Majors
• 2 years of professional experience in the energy industry
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• SAP & Salesforce a plus
