Job Description

Miami Beach Community Health Center (MBCHC), a federally qualified health center,  is looking for a HIGHLY-ORGANIZED individual to oversee the Health Information Management department. 

MBCHC will provide the training if necessary
.  The most important attributes are advanced organizational skills, systems thinking, good computer skills, and willingness to learn.  This is a management position.

The Health Information Director is responsible for: 
• Ensuring confidentiality of patient medical record
• A staff of approximately 10 clerks
• Auditing the medical records
• Ensuring staff is scanning and tasking images/results accurately and within appropriate timeframe
• Reviewing the medical records for timely completion and documentation
• Verifying and logging all court orders and subpoenas to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Establishing and then meeting department goals
• Providing reports
• Assisting with data collection


The perfect candidate will have experience working at a health center and supervising staff.  If the candidate has previous executive assistance experience and is willing to learn the work of a Health Information department, he or she will be considered.
