The Corporate Compliance Analyst / Trainer will be responsible in assisting the VP of Corporate Compliance Officer with:
Maintaining policies and procedures to promote compliance awareness throughout the Company, and to provide effective training to ensure employee compliance to Company policies, and federal, state and local mortgage banking laws and regulations, and
Assisting with other day-to-day tasks within the Corporate Compliance department including, but not limited to, Closing Agent vetting and approval process, and control oversight of various processes to ensure they are operating effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
- Research, and develop new training presentation techniques in corporate and compliance training for continuous improvement of the Company’s training program, including appropriate introductory corporate training for new employees as well as ongoing compliance training for all employees.
- Conduct training sessions across the organization both in person and via web based systems.
Collaborate with department managers of each of the business units within the Company to assist with the development, as applicable, and revision of Company policies and procedures for the general operation of the Company and its related activities to ensure compliance with labyrinth of federal, state and local mortgage banking laws and regulation.
Perform Company oversight of its third party vendors/closing agents/subservicer in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and including ensuring control procedures are properly maintained.
Self-starter, with the ability to function independently and effectively as part of a team
Strong time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision and work efficiently under pressure
Well developed analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- High energy, dynamic, enthusiastic, and positive presentation/training style
Good writing and verbal communication skills
Strong in Microsoft office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree with varied employment experience and knowledge in areas of financial services (banking and mortgage banking), including compliance standards
